About Me

AJ Portrait Headshot Therapist

Hello, I’m AJ (she/her)

Hello, I’m AJ (she/her), I’m gay, in the homosexual sense and the sense of joy. I’m a Filipina butch lesbian grown in Texas and brings the queer southern kindness with my presence. My present counseling focus is to provide non-judgmental, culturally conscious counseling to engage with millennials who are looking to embody a more authentic and compassionate sense of self in pursuit of improving their quality of life and building sustainable relationships. I bring many counseling experiences and parts of myself to the work we do.

Clinical background

My clinical focus is on LGBTQ+ related issues, life transitions, and anxiety and depression. I utilize parts work, metaphors and mindfulness in the sessions.

I’ve worked in the mental health field since 2016, and am professionally licensed in Massachusetts (Licensed Mental Health Counselor #12054). I use different counseling modalities based on clients' presented needs such as evidence-based approach Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic, Person Centered, Multicultural, Solution Focused and Strength-Based Therapy.
